2 Towns Ciderhouse
2 Towns Ciderhouse Bright Cider (6.0% alcohol by volume) is made with Newtown Pippin apples and other Northwest apple varieties. The cider is made with apple juice, malic acid and sulfites. 2 Towns Ciderhouse does not use apple juice concentrates and does not use added sugar. It is cold fermented to retain the heirloom fruit aromatics. The cider has a mild apple smell with a hint of white wine and some tropical fruit. there is no funk and a mild, clean fermentation character. It pours brilliant straw gold under a fizzy 1/4" white cap that quickly dissipates leaving a thin rim of bubbles around the glass. Fresh apple flavors lead supported by white wine notes and tropical fruit. It is semi-sweet with a mild balancing tartness and some apple tannins on the finish provide a slight astringent note but no bitterness. It has a pleasant lingering apple tail. 2 Towns Ciderhouse Bright Cider is refreshing, flavorful, very drinkable, and all the parts working well together. It is a good session drink and pairs well with food. Drink this cider with fish, cheddar cheese, pork, blue cheese and salads. I rate it 83.
