Her introduction to beer styles is brief but serviceable and focused on cooking buts gives some helpful hints on pairing beer with food. Rice provides 60 recipes divided into brunch, starters, main meals, side dishes and desserts. Her recipes and beer selections make sense, are easy to follow and do not require any hard to find ingredients or skills beyond that of the average home cook. The book's lavish photography showcases the author's skills and drive the reader to the store to collect the ingredients for such delights as cast-iron Pilsner Pizza, Baked Brown Ale Potato Chedar Enchiladas, or maibock Dutch Baby Pancakes. This is an enjoyable book and highly recommended.
