Omission Lager (Gluten-Free)
Widmer Brothers Brewing Company Omission Lager (Gluten-Free) (4.6% alcohol by volume) is a gluten free lager. The aromas are not big. It smells like light grains, a hint of apple, some grainy earthiness, and some floral and spicy hop aromas. It pours brilliant gold with rapidly rising bubbles joining a white frothy cap with poor retention. The beer is slightly tart with earthy grain flavors and a hint of vegetable and very faint apple. This is a light to medium light highly carbonated beverage. Omission lager has an almost astringent drying on the finsh from the grain. It is a decent gluten-free substitute for a standard American lager. I rate it 75.
