#11 Belgian Tripel
Venn Brewing Company #11 Belgian Tripel (9.5% alcohol by volume, 30 International Bittering Units) is a Belgian Tripel. It pours brilliant gold under a thin white cap with moderate retention. Streams of bubbles rise moderately fast. The fragrances of Belgian yeast and malt support stone fruit and earthy spice aromas. A fruit and spice seasoned sweetness finds balance with a nice big earthy bitter. The Belgian yeast flavors are fairly clean and fruity. Malt flavors are medium and yeast flavors are medium plus. The body is medium to medium low and the carbonation is medium high. This big Belgian Tripel is clean with mild flavors. I rate it 80.
