Stone Delicious IPA
Stone Brewing Stone Delicious IPA (7.7% alcohol, 75 International Bittering Units) is a gluten reduced IPA. I bought my bottle from Total Wine. It is one month old with a best by date two months in the future. It has a nice hoppy citrus smell, a slight wet earth note, light grains, bread crumb, fruit and a hint of onion and garlic. It pours bright amber with a slight copper tint under a 1.5" off-white foam cap with fair retention. Bubbles rise rapidly to the surface. It starts lightly sweet with a hint of caramel, medium fruit, citrus, and orange leading to an assertive bitter finish. The front half is very, very good while the back half is OK. The bitterness is a little sharp and has a faint medicinal note. It feels like a medium bodied beer with medium carbonation. The bitterness is a little harsh but the flavors and the feel of the beer are very good. I rate this 83.
