Sierra Nevada Brewing Company Sierraveza (5.0% alcohol by volume, 18 International Bittering Units) is an American lager with a woody, spicy hop aroma supported by traces of unsalted oyster crackers. Hop and malt aromas are medium low and fermentation aromas are low. It is brilliant yellow permeated by streams of rapidly rising bubbles under a 1" white cap with fair to good retention. The beer is nicely flavored with a balance of citrusy hops, light fruit and crackery malt pulled together by a moderate soft bitterness. There is nothing harsh or out of place. The beer is clean and crisp with a medium light body and medium carbonation. The beer is well balanced with excellent flavors. It is thirst quenching, easy to drink and repeatable. I rate it 80.
