Vieille Artisanal Saison

Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project Vieille Artisanal SaisonCrooked Stave Artisan Beer Project Vieille Artisanal Saison (4.2% alcohol by volume) is aged in large oak foeders that contain colonies of Brettanomyces that bive the beer a rustic character and a rich, complex acidity. Vieille Artisanal Saison has a tart almost vinegary nose, with lemon, spice, fruit and some light bread aromas. It pours hazy straw under a thin but clingy white foam collar. The flavors are tart, lemony, fruit, and citrus. There is not much hop presence. Traces of salt and a slight mineral character lurk in the background. Vieille Artisanal Saison is refreshing, light, highly carbonated with a faint oaky astringency in the background. This light, refreshing beer with a slight wine like quality to it.
