Tasting Room Series: White IPA
My bottle of Boulevard Brewing Company Tasting Room Series: White IPA (5.9% alcohol by volume) is exactly 4 months old but it has spent 2 of those months in the refrigrator. It is a White IPA - a Blegian Wit brewed with American IPA hops. The nose is citrus, spice and some biscuit. It pours hazy old and is filled with gross looking floaties. Streams of rapidly rising bubbles continually churn the floaties and keep them in suspension. The beer has a 2.5" cream colored foam cap wiht moderate retention. It tastes citusy lemon with light bread crumb and moderate to moderately high Belgian witbier yeast character. Biterness is medium to medium high. the body is medium light and the carbonation is medium high. If you shut your eyes this is a decent beer but the floaties are a bit off-putting. I rate it 77.
