Ayinger Bräu Weisse*
Ayinger Privatbrauerei Ayinger Bräu Weisse (5.1% alcohol by volume) has a yeasty, doughy banana bread smell that fills up the space within an arm's length of the glass. Closer up bazooka bubble gum, spice and a very faint hint of clove are detectable. It pours gold with a slight haze, kicking up a 2" off white mousse-like foam cap with good retention. Streams of rapidly rising bubbles fill the glass. A foamy liquid blend dissolves into liquid as it moves through the mouth carrying spicy banana bread flavors and slight bubble gum. It starts with a touch of hard candy sweetness and culminates with a touch of tart on the finish. The body is medium with medium high to high but very soft and fine carbonation. This is a perfect beer for drinking outside at a table. I rate it 90.
