About Romancing the Foam

Romancing the Foam celebrates the responsible enjoyment of craft beer, cider, mead and sake. It discusses the enjoyment of beer, cider, mead, and sake and food - especially cheese and oysters and reviews of books related to these topics and other books to enjoy while drinking your favorite beverage.

I'm Pat Mulloy, a BJCP National Beer Judge, a BJCP Mead Judge. I made a couple of feeble attempts at brewing in the 60's and 70's but home brewed pretty seriously from 1980 through 1990 brewing beer, cider and mead. During my half century plus of beer drinking I have sought out anything new or different. I really like beer - over the past 4 years I have reviewed over 3500 beers.
