Fair State Brewing Cooperative
Fair State Brewing Cooperative Keller Kazbek (4.9% alcohol by vlume, 38 International Bittering Units) is a Kellerbier (unfiltered, unaged lager) berweed with Czech Kazbek hops. Cracking the can releases rich malt and spicy floral hop aromas. The spiciness smells fresh joined by citrus, a faint sweet smell and a little bread crumb. It pours hazy gold with rapidly rising bubbles under a lacy 1" ivory cap with good retention. The flavors start with some fruit, apple, bread crumb, biscuit, cracker and an array of light grain flavors. It has an assertive bitter aftertaste and then lingering pear and citus flavors. It starts with a light sweetness but dries on the finish. The malt and yeast flavors play off each othter very well and balance nicely with the hop bitterness. This very creamy medium bodied beer has medium carbonation This is a very drinkable, flavorful beer. I Rate it 85.
