Broken Clock Brewing Cooperative
Broken Clock Brewing Cooperative Community Kolsch (5.0% alcohol by volume, 23 International Bittering Units) releases a big whiff of noble hops upon cracking the crowler followed by light cracker, a hint of fruit and some fresh bread dough. It drops gold with minimal haze under a a massive white cap with good persistence. Streams of bubbles rise rapidly to the surface. Light fruit, pear and apple joined by bread crumb and light bread dough lead to a mildly tart finish from the carbonation. The hops provide a mild noble hop flavor and a moderate bitterness that balances well with the malt and yeast flavors. Community Kolsch has a very creamy texture, a medium to medium light body, medium plus carbonation. It has a crisp finish. Community Kolsch is a nice, easy to drink beer with mild yeast flavors, soft malt and medium bitterness. I rate it 80.
